Camila joined KDHRC excited to conduct public health research that advances health equity and truly makes a difference. She especially loves being able to collaborate with a diverse group of colleagues all seeking to enhance public health outcomes on a daily basis!

Originally from Colombia, Camila grew up in Georgia and earned a bachelor’s in Health Promotion and Behavior with a minor in Global Health from the University of Georgia where she developed a passion for health education and community involvement, especially among the Latino community. She went on to earn a master’s in Public Health from the University of Granada in Spain and a master’s in Advanced Epidemiology & Biostatistics from the French School of Public Health in France. Specializing in data analysis utilizing R, Camila has proficiently conducted meta-analyses and produced detailed reports, showcasing her analytical skills.

When not working, Camila can be found reading, exploring new running trails, hiking, crafting, trying new restaurants, or traveling to a new place.
