KDHRC attends PALS training hosted by Lupus Therapeutics

KDHRC visits Miami, Florida for the Patient Advocates for Lupus Studies (PALS) training hosted by Lupus Therapeutics. During this two-day training, 12 lupus patient advocates will receive education and instruction from healthcare, research, and social service professionals on how to conduct outreach to lupus patients. KDHRC will collect and analyze data on how effective the work of patient advocates is for increasing lupus patients’ knowledge of lupus clinical trials and how patient advocates might affect their willingness to participate in them. The training takes place February 1-2, 2019.  KDHRC is excited to take part in such a worthwhile event and research project.
