Today, KDH Research & Communication announces the launch of Project PENCIL, which includes a publicly available website (www.projectpencil.com) and comprehensive Parents’ and Teachers’ Guides. Project PENCIL increases the social and academic successes of children with chronic illnesses.
The Project PENCIL website includes tips, strategies, and handouts for parents and teachers; online streaming video interviews with parents, children, education professionals, and medical professionals; and state-specific legal information about the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (Section 504), and Hospital Homebound programs (HHB).
