KDHRC researcher presents at national community health worker conference
KDHRC research associate, Rosa Steen, presented at the 13th annual Unity conference in Memphis, Tennessee on July 15, 2015. Ms. Steen discussed best practices to facilitate promotores de salud program development based on findings from the evaluation of Dientes Fuertes, Vida Sana (Strong Teeth, Healthy Life), a culturally-competent program to prevent childhood tooth decay among low-income Latino children ages 0 to 6.
The Unity conference, organized by the Center for Sustainable Health Outreach (CSHO) at The University of Southern Mississippi, is a national conference designed for and about community health workers.
